What licensing models does au2mator offer?

au2mator offers several licensing options – from a free Community Edition to Enterprise licenses with extended features, support, and unlimited users.

How much does the au2mator Self-Service Portal cost?

Pricing depends on the number of users and required features. A detailed quote can be requested directly through the website.

Is there a free trial or Community Edition available?

Yes – the Community Edition is permanently free and ideal for testing or for use in smaller production environments.

Do prices vary depending on the automation engine?

No – PowerShell, Azure Automation, and Orchestrator are equally supported. Licensing primarily depends on user count and feature set, not on the selected engine.

How is licensing technically implemented?

The license is activated server-side. After installation, the portal can be used immediately – and upgraded to a higher edition at any time if needed.

Is Asset Management included in the portal licence?

Asset Management is a paid add-on for the Starter, Rookie, Pro and MVP editions, priced to match your portal edition. The free Community Edition includes Asset Management for up to 15 assets, which is enough to try it out rather than run it.

Do I need Asset Management to use Warranty Sync?

Yes. Warranty Sync keeps the warranty data of your assets current, so it builds on Asset Management. It is charged annually at 5% of your Asset Management licence.

What does a licence cost after the first year?

Every licence renews at 20% of the initial licence cost per year, which covers maintenance, support and updates. Warranty Sync is a separate annual fee of 5% of the Asset Management licence.

What are the limits of the free Community Edition?

The Community Edition is free and permanently usable, with all features included — but limited: two services, Asset Management for up to 15 assets, no Warranty Sync and no support. It is built for evaluation and small environments, not for running an estate.
