Here we will show, how to create an Install a Client Service for the au2mator Self Service Portal.
First, the Runbook, it is included in our public Download on TechNet Gallery, Download link is below.
Create the Service
For this Service, we will need the Runbook 04.04-Install Computer
So Navigate to the au2mator Self Service Portal and create a new Service.
We called it “Install a Client” with a nice Description and a Icon.
If you like you can add an Approval Step, in this case we navigate to the “ADVANCED” Tab and enter some Instructions.
Next, and of course the important step, chose your Runbook 04.04-Install Computer
Next, got to the “QUESTIONS”
For the List of Computers we have decided to select the from AD, of course, change this to your needs.
The List of Operating System is a simple Dropdown, take a note, the entries need to match to your SCCM collections, at least if you are using our Runbooks.
Also the Language is a Dropdown and matches to the Collection Name, see the Summary for Details.
Save the Service and let’s try it.
Start the Install a Client Service
As a Result,
- The Runbook will add the Computer in SCCM in the following Collection
- OSD-Windows 10 x64-en-US
- Make sure this will fit into your SCCM Environment or edit the Runbook
- The user will be set as the Primary User in SCCM
- The user will be set a Manager of the AD Computer Object
